–Razputin to the snails
The Brave Snails were a group of gastropods that appeared in Waterloo World, and in Psychonauts. Said group was composed of ten snails which Razputin Aquato needed to collect at the Orchard in order to contribute to the cause in the war of Waterloo by feeding the Hearty Knight.
Appearance[]
Pretty much resembles to a real snail, though with a "Greenish Beige" color and more cartoony features like the big head, the eyes positioned in the upper part of the head instead of the eye stalks; leaving this part of their body more like antennas. They are considerably small to the point that their game piece model requires the ten snails to be put inside a wooden bucket with a similar base to the rest of the game pieces seeing across Waterloo World.
Psychonauts[]
Unlike the rest of Fred’s troops, the snails don’t need something in return to make them fight the forces of Napoleon Bonaparte but instead, Raz needs to collect them all so they join forces and encourage to take on a fight. Surprisingly unlike the rest of the troops, they distinguish themselves for being the most enthusiastic members of the crew, willing to give their lives to end the tyranny of Napoleon once and for all; although, thanks to their small size even by being put together in a bucket, they can only contribute to the cause by feeding themselves to the Hearty Knight so he gets the enough energy to storm Napoleon’s stronghold.

Trivia[]
- Unlike real snails, the Brave Snails have their eyes position on the head instead of the eye stalks like it should be.
- They feature one of the longest dialogues in all of Psychonauts, without the usage of separating voice lines.
- By attempting to send them at any of the French Soldiers, Raz will comment that he rather feed his own army only.
- Unlike the rest of the game pieces, they don’t react to the items Raz has to give to the Peasants.
- Inside the files of the game, the Brave Snails feature two versions of their dialogue, the one used in-game and an unused version of the dialogues but with a high-pitch edited voice.
