First Mate Loboto is a mental figure in the mind of Dr. Caligosto Loboto. He owns a cuckoo bird named Crackers.
Background[]
First Mate Loboto is a sailor who has lost his compass, and without his compass, he cannot sail. He is afraid of a creature he calls the "Cursed soulless leviathan". During the fight against Monstroboto, he will help Raz by slowing down time using his large clock. He describes Monstroboto as the "face of madness" and than he would rather drown than continue fighting. He often wonders what's underneath Monstroboto's shower cap.
A memory vault appears once Monstroboto is defeated. First mate will look into the vault using a stereoscope. Raz must use clairvoyance on First Mate Loboto to see the contents of the memory vault.
Once First Mate recovers his compass from the memory vault, he exclaims that they can finally "sail to new waters", signaling he has regained part of his sanity.
Appearance[]
First Mate Loboto has light teal skin and surgery scars on his head. He has heterochromia: one red eye and one green. He wears circular glasses with dark gray rims. First Mate wears old brown boots, tattered green pants, and a ripped brown vest over an old white shirt with a cravat. His teeth are yellow, possibly from gold plating or rot.

- He represents the mentally stable version of Dr. Loboto.
- His compass is a reference to the moral compass that Dr. Loboto had lost sometime in his life.
- Dr. Loboto appears fascinated with the ocean, often seen wearing a sailor's outfit as a child. Dr. Loboto could have wanted to be a sailor -this dream represented by First Mate Loboto.
- When the memory vault opens, a stereoscope comes out. First Mate will confuse this word with stethoscope. Raz will notice his mistake but will not correct him, not wanting to ruin the moment.
- First Mate Loboto does not have any robotic appendages, unlike the actual Dr. Loboto, who's right arm and eyes are artificial.
