Kids' Cabins

The Kids' Cabins is an area in Whispering Rock Psychic Summer Camp. It is where the cabins are and the treehouse where Coach Oleander hosts his Basic Braining class.

"The Kid’s Cabins Area consists of three paltry, flimsy huts for the kids to live in (so nobody will get sued for child mistreatment) and Oleander‘s large tree-house that, according to some sources, looks like his old, fat, beanie cap, propeller and all. Raz never gets the chance to peep on the girl’s cabins, though. How sad.

This is the place the Most Excellent Game starts out in. There’s nothing much you can do around here besides eavesdropping, collecting collectibles, clowning around or punching Nils‘s head in the hole he’s trying to peep through. It’s very fun. And you can blame it on Bobby too, so nobody will ever know… Or you could actually get into Oleander’s smelly training level. Doing so has two immediate benefits: Ranger Cruller will let you cross the bridge and expand your area of action, and you can pester Oleander in his sleep. Oh, and Sasha gives you an awesome red button.

On a second thought, this is a haven of peace compared to the rest of the camp, free from mutated wildlife or ghastly waters trying to grab you."

Points of Interest[]

  • Cabins area: This portion of the camp contains three cabins; two exclusively for boys and girls only and an unique one that judging by the logo at the entrance it seems to be for both genders. An outhouse, a set of speakers and a large trampoline are situated here along with the classroom for Oleander’s basic braining.
  • Coach's Treehouse Classroom: A very large tree with a wooden bridge and a handrail that leads to the treehouse classroom. The inside of said classroom has an oval-shape, features a couple of decoratives, includes wall sofa beds and a small desk with a transmitter belonging to Oleander and sometimes uses it to talk through the speakers across camp.
  • Hidden Cavern: High above the past sub-locations, there’s a hole that leads to the inside of cave which contains a lone fridge with a scavenger hunt item, there’s also a second path with an exit tunnel back to the cabins area or in case of wanting to move back, Raz can climb an extensive net.

Scavenger Hunt Collectibles[]

  • Turkey Sandwich: Get on top of a bunk that has a set of trapezes and then use the climbing net from the tree to reach the entrance of a cave. Inside after sliding through it all, the object is founded inside a fridge; completely frozen inside an ice block (requires Pyrokinesis to melt it).

PSI Cards[]

1.– Go directly straight ahead out of your bunk. Under the pathway leading up to Coach Oleander's class is the first psi card.


2.– Hang a left from the previous card, and climb the pole. At the top, there is a psi card around the edge.

3.– You should be able to see the third card from where you found the previous. It is located on a tree branch directly to the north.

4.– Go to the right and follow the path back down towards the bunks. When the path ends, there should be an outhouse in front of you, and a bunk to the left. The card is behind the bunk.

5.– Go into the outhouse by pressing the triangle button, the card is in there.

6.– Use the trampoline next to the next bunk to reach the roof. The card is on the roof of the bunk.

7.– Follow the tightrope from one bunk roof to the next. The card is on the next roof.

8.– From the previous, you should see some poles you can swing on. Use them to reach the netting on the tree and jump from there to the caveside where the next card rests.

9.– Go into the cave and slide down the mud. Jump into the alcove on the right when you see it and follow it down. The card is directly to the left after you come out onto another path.

10.– Follow the path in the cave and the card is directly in front of the ladder.

11.– Proceed back to the trampoline next to the second bunk. Once you reach the tightrope connecting the two roofs, turn right and you should see a trapeze you can swing on. Use it to reach the next trampoline, where the next psi card is waiting.

12.– Levitation is required to reach the last psi card in this area. Reach the cave entrance and use levitation to reach a net climbing up a nearby ledge. There is a tightrope above you, but first you need to jump to another net and then jump to the tightrope, where you will get the last card.

PSI Challenge Marker[]

  • Use the trampoline next to the second bunk to reach the roof of it. Climb onto the tightrope, and turn right to see a trapeze. Use the trapeze to reach the next trampoline. Jump onto the ladder, and climb it to the top. The challenge marker lies up here around the corner of the tree.[1]

Trivia[]

  • Coach has crayon drawings made by the campers hung up on the wall of his treehouse classroom.
  • There is a reference to the 1990 videogame The Secret of Monkey Island in this area. Upon interacting with a hollowed out tree stump, Raz with notice a hole at the bottom and mimic the infamous Monkey Island 'stump joke': "Hey, there's a hole at the bottom of this stump. Wow, it's a tunnel that opens on to a system of catacombs."
