Mind reading is the psychic ability to see or hear another person's thoughts. It is possible to build up psychic defenses against invasive mind reading.
Psychonauts[]
Mind reading is most prominently featured in Psychonauts through Razputin inadvertently hearing Lili's unguarded thoughts at several points in the story, notably at Loboto's lab and after the asylum's destruction. Sasha is also shown reading his father's mind in one of his memory vaults. In one of Milla's, she is bombarded seemingly against her will with the final thoughts of the children as the orphanage where she worked burned down.
Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin[]
Several characters in Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin can read minds. Razputin, Sasha, Milla, and Lili use a combination of mind reading and telepathy to communicate with each other while separated in the Rhombus of Ruin.
