The Otto B.O.N. - short for Otto's Brain-Only Network - is a pneumatic tube system designed by Otto Mentallis to transport brains to-and-from his laboratory.
Description[]
The Otto B.O.N. was designed by Otto to transport brains around the Psychonauts HQ. This could deliver jarred brains to his laboratory to be installed in the Brainframe, or else deployed from the Brainframe for other purposes. Eventually, tubes were installed all across the Motherlobe, other facilities in the Quarry, the Questionable Area, and the Psychonauts' original home in Green Needle Gulch.
The system was originally meant only for brains, not being deemed safe enough to transport people. As such, the tubes were locked with a ThinkerPrint combination. However, anyone skinny enough or small enough - i.e., children - could use the tubes to get around Psychonauts HQ at speed.
Psychonauts 2[]
The Otto B.O.N. replaces the Whispering Rocket Underground Rapid Transit System as the game's fast-travel system in the physical world.
Raz sees Lili coming out of one of these tubes, and she offers to share the combination with him so he can use them. As Raz discovers / gains access to new locations, those destinations get added to the tube destination list. At the end of the game, Raz discovers Dr. Caligosto Loboto escaping from Sasha's lab through the tube system.

- The name "Otto B.O.N." is a play on (and pronounced like an English speaker's mispronunciation of) Autobahn, the controlled-access highway system in Germany.
- The Otto B.O.N. system serves the same purpose as the Underground Rapid Transit System in Psychonauts: Quick transportation between areas.
