Sasha's mother was the wife of Lars Nein. She died while Sasha was a baby, leaving Lars heartbroken. Her name is never revealed.

Sasha's mother is only ever seen in Sasha's memory memory vaults: Sasha's first loss and Sasha's Second Sight. She can be seen coddling over a baby Sasha, before getting sick and eventually passing away. It is revealed in Sasha's second memory vault that Sasha chose to run away from home after reading his father's mind and witnessing his parents having sex.

Sasha is freed from his psilirium-induced hallucination by listening to the same song that his mother used to whistle while out in her garden.
