Smelling Salts is an item Psychonauts. It is a small golden container which, when cracked open, emits a smell so horrid it sends Razputin's astral projection straight back into the real world.

The Smelling Salts are given to Raz by Maloof Canola immediately before Basic Braining, who says he no longer needs them as he intends to have his parents come pick him up from camp. From then on Raz is able to use the Smelling Salts in order to eject himself from a mental world back into the real world.
TriviaEdit
- Using the Smelling Salts after crossing the point of no return simply sends Razputin back to the Collective Unconscious, as his brain remains outside of his body.
- The Smelling Salts make a cameo in another game by Double Fine known as Broken Age.
